Course Description
Analytical Figure Audit Class Lectures is a 12-video lecture series by Kirk Shinmoto focused on gesture, form, structure, and anatomy of the human figure. This audit class directly mirrors the same lectures from Kirk Shinmoto’s live classes. The videos follow the same topics covered over a 12-week course and include demos, assignments, and weekly topics. Additional handouts are also included with each lecture.
The in-class homework critique recordings from the live classes are not included.
This is an intensive course designed to solidify students’ understanding of the gesture, form, and anatomy of the human figure. Rather than only memorizing anatomical diagrams, the course focuses on the structure and function of anatomy and how it can be used as a design element.
Each section covers different drawing concepts or parts of the body, helping students understand how to organize and design the complexities of the human form.
