You’ll be guided by Unreal Authorized Instructors Franco Vilanova and Daniel Langhjelm, both senior CG artists with real-world production experience. The course includes self-study modules, monthly live labs, discussion forum support, and four 1:1 coaching sessions with an instructor, giving students the opportunity to receive personalized guidance as they develop their skills.

Module 01: Environment Creation
The course begins with environment creation, where you’ll learn how to build immersive cinematic worlds from the ground up. This module focuses on the core principles of creating believable spaces that support storytelling, mood, and visual composition.You’ll explore how to craft realistic landscapes, develop materials, dress scenes with props and foliage, and apply professional lighting techniques to create atmosphere and depth. You’ll also learn how modular environment workflows can help you build scenes more efficiently while keeping your projects organized and flexible.
This module is designed to help you understand not only how to create an environment technically, but also how to make it feel cinematic, intentional, and production-ready.

Module 02: Advanced Animation
In the advanced animation module, you’ll learn how to bring characters, cameras, and objects to life with greater control, precision, and creativity. This section goes beyond basic keyframing and introduces more professional animation workflows inside Unreal Engine.You’ll work with the Curve Editor and advanced animation tools to refine motion, adjust timing, and create smoother, more believable performances. You’ll also explore Take Recorder, which is useful for capturing motion and building efficient motion capture workflows.
The module also covers constraints and spaces, helping you create more realistic interactions between objects, characters, and cameras. In addition, you’ll learn how to use cloth simulation to add natural movement and visual realism to your cinematic scenes.

Module 03: Intermediate Rendering and Optimization
This module focuses on achieving professional-quality cinematic output while keeping your Unreal Engine projects efficient and manageable. You’ll learn how to improve the final look of your scenes while also understanding the technical decisions that affect performance.You’ll explore Movie Render Queue and Render Graph workflows, giving you more control over how your cinematic shots are rendered. You’ll also learn how to work with AOVs and compositing techniques, allowing for more flexibility in post-production and final image refinement.
The module also covers optimization strategies for assets, lighting, levels, visibility, culling, and VFX. These techniques are essential for creating scenes that look impressive without becoming too heavy or difficult to manage.

Module 04: Virtual Production Fundamentals
In the virtual production module, you’ll explore the real-time filmmaking workflows used by modern studios.
