Making Stylized 3D Animation from Scratch [Coloso, Joy of 3D]

I'm a bit confused with the whole backed/paid/primary and additional lists.
I thought with 9 backers it only needed one more to finalise the purchase.
I've read through the info pages but it doesn't really adress what the primary list is.
If it takes another few months to get people to pay I prefer looking at other courses.
Maybe someone can explain ?
Thanks !

The 'primary list' is for people who are definitely in for the GB. If you're on this list, you'll need to chip in for the participant fee. If someone skips out on paying or goes AWOL after signing up, the mods step in and handle it. We do keep a note of users who regularly skip payments, so heads up: once you're on the primary list at the payment stage, there's no backing out.

The 'additional list' is more like a "maybe" option - you're interested in the content but might change your mind. No worries if you leave the GB at any point - there’s no penalty for backing out here.

During 'sign-up' dtage, both primary and additional list members count toward the minimum number of participants needed. When we hit that number, the platform moves the GB to the 'Payment' stage.

Once we're in that stage, everyone gets an email notification. That’s your cue to go ahead and pay the participant fee!

Hope this helps clear things up about how GBs work

:)

Thanks for going into more detail, even though I don't understand how you can get on the primary list without paying before hand.
I paid and ended up on the additional list. If I remember right I didn't get the option to go onto the primary list, but I'll keep an eye on that for the next time. So if I'm on the additional list and have paid and then exit the group buy, do I get a refund.
Thanks again for clearing this up, it definitely helps ;)

If you’ve already paid and just need to rejoin the buying group, you typically won’t have to pay any additional fees. Just contact the administrator.
The admin will review all your purchases and cross-check them with the group buy list you joined. This is not an easy process, so please avoid doing this frequently.
The admin is aware that with the upcoming platform upgrade, the forum will offer a refund if you click the “Exit GB” button.
The administrator can help you rejoin and resolve any issues.
Just make sure to act quickly, as group buys can fill up very fast!

Hi,

When a course is in the Purchase Stage: Product payment, is the next step the distribution of the product?

If so, is there an estimated time in which it is distributed to the participants? or what does it depend on to change the stage?

Correct.

The duration of the "Product Payment" stage is highly dependent on the level of participation and engagement from our esteemed community members. Once a sufficient number of individuals commit to the group buy, the payment process can be completed within a few days to a week or two.

We're always keeping an eye on it to make sure everything runs smoothly and we can move on to the next exciting stage: distribution! 🧁⏳💰

Yeah, that's what I thought when I signed up , thinking we were one participation away from delivery.
The only info that really matters in the thread is the product payment bar on the top right hand side, which now stands at six or seven, hard to say.
All the other info is only there as a general guideline, at least that's how I understand it.
